Mami Tomoe

Hey look, actual art! XD

I felt like drawing something Madoka Magica related, since I love the anime so much, but I haven't drawn much fan art for it at all, aside from those Professor Layton crossovers~ XD

So here's Mami Tomoe~ She was one of my favorites, and I just adore her design~ Normally I draw a sketch on paper and then scan it and use it as a guideline, but this... I drew this entire thing freehand. With a mouse. And as usual, I color and shade mostly/entirely with gradients.

This is the first time I seriously drew Mami (you know, besides random doodles/sketches). Her hair is absolutely a pain to draw, but I really like how ended up looking. Her boots, on the other hand, I still am not sure how they work. O_O And her outfit has so many little details...

The background was meant to look similar to her transformation sequence, with the flowers and all that. It's also made of gradients~
